> Festive Asparagus (Microwave Cooking)

Serves 4-8


1 Large TERINEX LOOK OVEN BAG 35cmx43cm (13½ x 16½ inches)

Ingredients

1tbls all purpose flour (plain flour)
150ml (5fl oz ) water
2 cloves garlic finely minced 1.8kg(2lbs) fresh asparagus, with tough stalks trimmed
1 medium red bell pepper, seeded and cut into thin strips
8 large mushrooms sliced
2 tbls butter or margarine

Method

  1. Put the TERINEX LOOK OVEN BAG in a microwave dish. Put flour, water and garlic into a dish or jug and mix well then add to the oven bag.
  2. Put asparagus in the bag along with the red pepper strips and mushrooms. Arrange neatly. Dot with the butter or margarine.
  3. Close bag and cut 6x2cm (½inch) slits into the top of the bag. Microwave for 9-11 minutes or until asparagus is tender. This may take less time depending on your microwave. To test - stop half-way through and using the tip of a knife try the asparagus.
  4. To serve: Remove from bag and transfer the vegetables to a thoroughly warmed dish. Spoon over the sauce.
